Practical introduction to oral history
An introduction to oral history methodology. Includes:
- how to plan an oral history project
- choose the best equipment
- achieve clear audio recordings
- select informants
- follow ethical procedures
- develop questioning techniques
- process oral history, and
- make the material available for use.
Equipment is provided. All participants will also receive a comprehensive summary resource and a certificate of attendance.
Two-day course
Attendance on both days is required and places are limited. There is a gap between the two workshops, during which participants are asked to do a homework exercise.
