The purpose of the fund is to promote standards in the use of oral history technique as a means of documenting New Zealand’s past and contemporary history. The building which houses the National Library of New Zealand, the Alexander Turnbull Library (and the Oral History Collection), is now closed to make way for the building redevelopment.
