It will provide information on the essentials of oral history research, including methodology, project planning, best equipment, interview techniques, legal and ethical issues and processing oral history in order to make the material available for use. There will be plenty of hands-on practice! Our training is based on the principles enshrined in the National Oral History Association of NZ. NOHANZ’s Code of Ethical and Technical Practice, and international archival standards. This is a two-day workshop with one month between sessions.
